Community Engagement - Melton Bus Service Review

Passenger transport is changing in Leicestershire and, at the same time as the county council is facing significant financial challenges, we are also trying to offer a better service to residents. The county council has developed a new Passenger Transport Policy and Strategy (PTPS) to ensure its passenger transport provision is fit for purpose and cost-effective.

We are reviewing all contracted services across the county. The review of Melton services is now complete and the intended course of action is: to integrate Services 23 (Melton Mowbray – Nether Broughton), 24 (Melton Mowbray – Bingham/Bottesford) & 25 (Melton Mowbray – Stathern); to integrate Services 100 (Leicester – Melton Mowbray) & 113 (Melton Mowbray – Oakham); and to replace Service 128 (Leicester – Melton Mowbray) with a demand responsive transport (DRT) service. All other Melton services will remain unchanged.

Melton Bus Services COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MEETING Booking is not required, but if you are interested in attending this event and require any special arrangements or have any other queries, please email ptps@leics.gov.uk or call 0116 305 0001 The council would like to engage with affected communities on the outcome of the review and the intended course of action.
